- Canterbury Cathedral
The very first church of england, and seat of the Archbishop of Canterbury. The cathedral is a breathtaking and stunning church, renowned holy place, and a world heritage site.
- Marlowe Theatre
The Marlowe theatre situated in the heart of Canterbury City, has undergone extensive refurbishment, and has been completely transformed into a new modern home for performances and shows. The new theatre will open in October 2011, and will be home to some great shows and special events, with a new larger auditorium.
- Howletts Wild Animal Park
A visit to Canterbury isn’t complete without seeing our great animal park! Situated just outside the city is an 90 acre park home to some of the worlds finest animals. - Greyfriars Chapel
The Greyfriars chapel, is the only remaining building of the first english Franciscan Friary, built in the years followinig the arrival of the first friars in 1224. Entry is free, however donations are appreciated.
- St Augustines Abbey
St Augustines Abbey of Canterbury, marks the rebirth of Christianity in southern england, and was founded by St Augustine in around 597AD. The site was originally created for the anglo-saxon kings in Kent, however it is now part of a world heritage site. The Abbey is a fantastic site, and also includes a musuem and free audio tour.
- Dane John Gardens
The Dane John gardens of Canterbury, is a beautiful and attractive park, complete with monuments and memorials. Situated within the city walls, this park is popular with locals and visitors alike, and is home to various events and concerts throughout the year.
